Currently, the NEW Agile Users Group meets bi-monthly. Each meeting features a brief presentation or interactive discussion as well as networking opportunities. The NEW Agile Users Group engages with both new and seasoned Agile practitioners – within IT and outside of IT. The group seeks to educate via a tutorial and networking focus where members and other attendees discover, share, and develop tools and techniques for becoming great Agile leaders in their organizations.

Agile is a development methodology that stresses:

  • Individuals And Interactions over processes and tools.
  • Working Software over comprehensive documentation.
  • Customer Collaboration over contract negotiations.
  • Responding To Change over following a plan.

The mission of the NEW Agile Users Group is the promotion of these principles as embodied in the various Agile software development practices (SCRUM, eXtreme Programming, etc.). The goals of the group are to:

  • Provide education and knowledge sharing opportunities on Agile concepts, best practices, and methodologies to companies and individuals in Northeast Wisconsin,
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas amongst Agile practitioners,
  • Establish a network of individuals dedicated to the growth of Agile as the leading methodology for software development,
  • Provide the Northeast Wisconsin software development community with a quality resource for answers to Agile questions, resolution of issues, and peer-to-peer interaction and idea sharing,
  • Have fun while learning more about this growing software development methodology.
